A STYLISH ARCHITECT STUDIO IN CANNES

Known for revamping luxury residences all over the world, the architectural firm of Guilhem & Guilhem set up shop in Cannes, on the French Riviera.

When it came to designing the studio space, founder Richard Guilhem stayed close to his signature contemporary and sleek aesthetic.

In order to magnify the volumes of the two-level mezzanine space, the architect opted for Sophie Mallebranche's No.37 woven metal in a pink gold tone.
More than a decorative piece, the panel helps structure the space and enhance the volumes with a unique personal touch, making for a one-of-a-kind partition wall.

At first glance, the design offers a sophisticated play on light; it also achieves a sense of privacy by creating a small work room on the first floor.
"I was interested in the concept of reflection: by definition, it is of changing nature or ends up disappearing, whereas this one is permanent," Richard Guilhem explains. "Between its shimmering texture, innate sophistication, and versatile use, this innovative design enables endless applications in architecture."
